Men’s Camp Director
Jim Fritz
James Fritz has a reputation as one of the most experienced and productive Division II men’s lacrosse coaches in the Southeast. He has amassed a record of over a hundred and 50 wins in his 22-year coaching career and is currently in the top ten among active coaches in Division II in both overall wins and winning %. He also holds both the record for wins in the Deep South Conference with 41, and the school record for wins at Pfeiffer University. While at Pfeiffer, he had the Falcons nationally ranked for 9 straight years.
During his career, Fritz has started 3 programs and helped rebuild the reputation of another. Over the last 22 years, he has won 3 Deep South Conference Championships, produced 28 All-Americans, 6 Academic All-Americans, 75 All-Conference Selections, 3 NCAA Record Holders, 3 World Team Players, 9 North-South Selections, and he has had 4 players drafted into to the National Lacrosse League, and has been named the conference coach of the year in ’97,’99 and ‘05. He has also had 2 of his former players was inducted into the Pfeiffer Athletics Hall of Fame.
He has continued that success at Queens. In seven seasons he has led the team to two first place finishes in the conference and to the title game twice, four second place finishes and one third after finishing sixth in their first season. He has also had the Royals in the top five in the region six times, which put them into consideration for a NCAA Playoff birth. He has continued to develop outstanding players at Queens as well, with 26 All-Conference selections, 15 All-Tournament picks, five All-Americans, two Academic All-American, one Conference Player of the Year, and three North /South selections. Recently one of his former players was selected in the first round of the NLL draft and was named NLL Rookie of the Year after leading his team to the NLL Championship Game. He continues to develop coaches as well as four former assistants are head college or D-I assistants and 20 former players from Pfeiffer and Queens are in coaching at various levels.
Fritz also believes in the development of lacrosse not only in North Carolina, but on an international level as well. In 1998, he hosted the England’s World team as they prepared for the World Games and has sent 4 former players recently to coach overseas. Fritz has also participated in NCAA YES Clinics and has been selected to speak at the US Lacrosse National Coach’s Convention. In 1997 he was selected to coach in the Division I North/South game. Currently he serves on the Division II All-American Committee, he had previously been the Chairman of that committee for nine straight years as well and had served on the USILA Rankings Committee for 10 years. Additionally, Fritz served on the US Lacrosse Executive Committee and the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Championship’s Committee for four years during the time the committee was instrumental in moving the championship game from a college campus to a professional venue.
An active promoter of the sport in the greater Charlotte area, Fritz serves on the board of both Youth Lacrosse USA and the Charlotte Lacrosse Boosters. He has run the Jim Fritz Winning Edge Lacrosse Camps for 14 years, recently co-funded the W.I.L.L league as well as Zenith Lacrosse and has been an active speaker at various lacrosse camps and is frequently published on uslaxcamps.com, Charlotte Lacrosse News, and in Inside Lacrosse magazine. Fritz also runs the Tony Cullen Tournament annually.
Coach Fritz is a 1985 graduate of Montclair State University and lives in Charlotte with his wife Annemarie and daughter Claire.

Women’s Camp Director
Meredith Buskard
Meredith who began as a counselor at the camp in 2009 will be entering her second year as the women’s camp director. During her short time as director she has helped the girl’s camp almost double in size. Her hi energy style which not only makes the camp fun but has raised the level of play of the girls who attend, has really been a key reason for that growth.
Meredith will be a senior in the Athletic Training major at Lynchburg College. She is a three year participant of the Varsity Women’s Lacrosse team and has received Academic All American awards all three years. She graduated from Providence High School in 2008 and participated in the Club Women’s Lacrosse team all four years. She was MVP 2008, Defender of the Year 2007 and 2008, All Conference 2007 and 2008, Second Team All State 2008, and a captain for two years. She coached with Zenith Lacrosse in 2008, Carolina Select 2010, and Jim Fritz Lacrosse for 2009 and 2010.
